SelectLeaders’ Client Seeks Director of Training and Support Opportunity

BISWIRE/March 30, 2026 — SelectLeaders, the leading real estate job network connecting top talent with premier employers, has announced a new Director of Training and Support opportunity on behalf of a student housing organization with a national portfolio.

This full-time hybrid position is based in Chicago, Illinois, with in-office work required Monday through Thursday and remote work on Fridays. The role also includes occasional travel of up to 25% to support on-site training, operational projects, and field-based teams.

The Director of Training and Support will play a critical role in leading training strategy and operational support across the company’s student housing portfolio. Reporting to the Vice President of Operations, the role will help strengthen on-site execution by developing and enforcing policies, procedures, and training programs that drive consistency, performance, and sales success.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading training programs for property and corporate teams through the Grace Hill platform, including onboarding, ongoing education, and compliance tracking
  • Developing policies, procedures, training materials, how-to guides, videos, and self-help resources across internal platforms and portals
  • Identifying knowledge gaps and operational risks, then creating training tools, checklists, and documentation to drive consistency and accountability
  • Providing strategic leadership to the Training and Support function, including oversight of field-based support roles
  • Partnering with Regional Managers and cross-functional teams to ensure adherence to policies, lease audit compliance, and operational standards
  • Supporting properties through in-person and remote training during turnover, staffing shortages, lease-up activity, and other key operational periods

The ideal candidate will bring at least five years of experience in student housing operations, including two years in a supervisory or leadership role. Candidates should have experience developing training programs, operational documentation, and compliance processes across a multi-property portfolio, along with working knowledge of property management operations and systems such as Entrata.

This is a hybrid role offering the opportunity to lead training and support initiatives across a national student housing platform while partnering closely with operations, sales, accounting, systems support, and HR teams.
