SelectLeaders’ Client Seeks VP of Capital Markets and Investor Relations in Washington, D.C.

This senior, full-time position is based in Washington, D.C., is office-based, and offers a highly competitive salary range of $250,000 to $300,000 plus bonus along with long-term growth potential within a rapidly expanding, well-capitalized platform. The firm brings decades of investment experience across modern infrastructure assets and is currently scaling to meet accelerating demand driven by AI adoption and warehouse automation.

The Vice President of Capital Markets and Investor Relations will play a critical role in leading capital formation and transaction execution across the firm’s investment portfolio. Partnering closely with Acquisitions and Development teams, this individual will be responsible for structuring and executing both debt and equity solutions while serving as a key liaison to existing and prospective Limited Partners (LPs). The role combines hands-on transaction leadership with high-level investor engagement, translating investment strategy and deal fundamentals into compelling, investor-facing narratives.

Key responsibilities include:

• Leading capital raising efforts from existing and new Limited Partner relationships, serving as a primary point of contact for investor communications
  
• Developing and delivering investment presentations, offering memoranda, and related materials that clearly articulate strategy, risk, and return profiles
  
• Addressing LP questions related to underwriting, market conditions, capital structure, and execution to support successful capital formation
  
• Supporting negotiation of equity terms and partnership agreements to align investor expectations with firm objectives
  
• Maintaining and strengthening relationships with institutional investors and financial partners
  
• Expanding LP relationships through networking, roadshows, and industry conferences
  
• Partnering with Acquisitions and Development teams to underwrite new investments, including financial modeling, sensitivity analysis, and risk assessment
  
• Evaluating property-level cash flows, market dynamics, and asset-specific value drivers
  
• Developing and presenting proposed capitalization strategies across the capital stack

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Real Estate, Economics, or a related field
  
• 8+ years of experience in commercial real estate capital markets or private equity
  
• Proven track record of underwriting and capitalizing real estate investments
  
• Experience leading investor engagement and managing LP relationships
  
• Strong financial modeling skills, including expertise in Excel, Argus, and valuation tools
  
• Deep understanding of capital structures, financing instruments, and partnership agreements
  
• Experience with data center transactions preferred but not required
  
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship management skills
  
• Strategic mindset with a collaborative and growth-oriented approach
