This senior, full-time position is based in Charlotte, North Carolina, and offers a competitive salary range, along with bonus potential tied to transaction execution and portfolio performance.

The Director of Capital Markets will play a critical role in leading and executing capital markets activities across the firm’s retail portfolio, including acquisitions, refinancings, recapitalizations, and equity raises. Reporting to the Vice President of Capital Markets, the role offers direct exposure to senior leadership and meaningful involvement in shaping portfolio-level capital strategy.

Key responsibilities include:

• Leading debt and equity execution for acquisitions, refinancings, and recapitalizations
  
• Structuring and sourcing senior mortgage, structured, and transitional debt
  
• Supporting equity capitalization efforts, including joint ventures and preferred equity
  
• Managing relationships with banks, life companies, CMBS lenders, debt funds, and equity providers
  
• Running competitive financing processes and negotiating loan and partnership terms
  
• Coordinating due diligence, legal documentation, and closing processes
  
• Partnering closely with Acquisitions and Asset Management teams to align capital solutions with business plans

The ideal candidate will bring 8 - 12+ years of real estate capital markets experience, with a strong preference for professionals who have financed retail or open-air shopping center assets. Candidates should demonstrate a proven ability to manage multiple transactions simultaneously, negotiate complex deal structures, and communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
