PNC Bank Relocating To New Austin Tower

PNC Bank is putting its stamp on downtown Austin for all to see.

Pnc bank headquarters

The Pennsylvania-based bank announced on April 27 it would relocate its Austin headquarters to the ATX Tower downtown, the Austin Business Journal reported. As part of the deal, the bank would receive signage rights to display its name on the building.

PNC will take up 35K SF at the tower, which sits at 325 W. Sixth St. The bank currently has its headquarters at 1703 W. Fifth St. in the city.

This move comes during a time of growth for PNC. Two years ago, it revealed plans to open 100 new branches across the U.S. through 2028, with eight new locations in metro Austin

Ellen May, managing director at ATX Tower co-developer Tishman Speyer, brokered the lease deal. The other co-developer of the building was Ryan Cos. US Inc.

As part of the deal, the bank's name will be placed on the north and west sides of the tower’s crown, according to the ABJ.

“This move puts us in the heart of downtown Austin,” PNC Regional President for Austin Steven González said in a statement. “Relocating to a new space represents a natural progression of PNC’s growth and continued investment in the Austin community.”

The 425K SF, mixed-use Class-A building, which delivered last year, boasts more than 100K SF of high-end office space and 369 luxury apartments across 58 stories.

The ATX tower offers several amenities for office tenants, including studio conferencing spaces, an all-day café, a rooftop lounge, a fitness center and a terrace on every office floor.

According to a Q1 report by CBRE, the Austin office market continued its upward trend in the first quarter, with 238K SF of positive net absorption. That was a 369K SF swing in absorption from Q1 2025, which saw 131K SF of negative absorption in the local office marketplace.
