John provides strategic advice to TMT portfolios and specialised advice in

telecommunications strategy, network roll-out and estate management. As a skilled

international real estate manager, John has extensive experience in the development and

implementation of real estate solutions at both a local and international level.

M​alcolm Smith is the founding Director of the Integrated Urbanism Unit at Arup in London, and the Arup Fellow in Masterplanning and Urban Design. Malcolm sets the design strategy for a wide range of urban design projects both in the United Kingdom and internationally that have sustainable placemaking at their core. His projects include the Central To Eveleigh Masterplan, Sydney; the Wellcome Genome Campus, Cambridgeshire; and the Stratford City Masterplan, London. Malcolm was also the lead designer for the Zuidas district in the City of Amsterdam, and an advisor to UN habitat and the Gore Foundation.

A pioneer in the festival world, Katrina co-founded The Big Chill Festival in 1994. In 2013 she worked on the redevelopment, re-branding and curation of Camden Lock Market, with great success. In 2014, Katrina joined Market Tech, overseeing 16 acres of Central London real estate, and was influential in the planning and launching of Market Tech’s coworking office space ‘The Interchange’. She was also a driving force behind the Haiti fundraiser at The Roundhouse in 2011 and sits on the charity board of Charity in the City.

Sowmya is an architect and urban designer with over 20 years of global experience in the UK, US, and Asia. She is one of the Mayor of London’s 50 Design Advocates, selected to drive forward London’s ‘good growth by design’ programme. As a member of Arup’s Integrated City Planning group, she leads city-scale projects working across the disciplines of architecture, urban design, planning, engineering, transport, and sustainability. Her expertise lies in masterplanning and strategic planning for new development and regeneration in urban areas confronting significant growth and expansion. Sowmya has been a designer and advisor on projects in the public as well as private sector including London's 2012 Olympic Legacy Masterplan and sustainability vision and Imperial College London’s campus in the White City Opportunity Area.

Raj Rajput joined Hines in 2013 and is the Managing Director of the Asset Management teams of Hines UK and Ireland, with responsibility for the entire portfolio under management. Raj has been involved in several active asset management projects, including Broadgate Quarter and 25 Cabot Square, and is currently the asset manager for Hanover Square and Film House.

Raj is also Chair of European Asset Management Leadership Group. Before joining Hines, Raj worked at property outsourcing firm Mapeley for 9 years. There he was Head of Acquisitions and Disposals and involved in a several large refurbishment and leasing projects. He also led on strategic disposals and acquisitions across Mapeley’s two main outsourcing contracts (HMRC and Santander) and direct investment portfolio.

Patrick Stewart-Blacker has a proven track record of delivering strategic multi-disciplined client

workspace projects providing new and innovative ways of working for their staff. This is

combined with a strong understanding of how technology can improve the workspace and

understanding how relevant training with structured migration planning can be the difference

between the success and failure of a project. Patrick is a highly effective leader and team

builder, with creative flair, intellectual “nous” and a passion for delivering innovative, “fit for

purpose” solutions. He combines a holistic approach to workspace design with a strong

understanding of the world of building construction.

Carissa is the Workplace Director at Land Securities plc. With over 13 years' professional consulting experience, Carissa has advised a range of large private and public sector organisations on complex business issues involving real estate and workplace. Her experience includes working with clients to develop strategies to use real estate assets as a tool to meet strategic business objectives such as attracting and retaining talent, responding to the changing shape of organisations, and increasing investment returns. As the Workplace Director at Land Sec, Carissa combines her understanding of the changing UK and global business models with her expertise in ways of working and in using the workplace as an enabler of talent.

Carissa's expertise lies in working with corporate occupiers on all components of the built environment including developing property and workplace strategies, rationalising portfolios, using real estate to achieve business objectives, and adopting the appropriate service delivery model to enable the property portfolio to facilitate the business.

Nikki Kirbell is currently Unilever’s Wellbeing Lead, managing the holistic employee health

and wellbeing offerings for the UK and Ireland. Nikki has been a key driver for Unilever’s

award winning Wellbeing programme and places the programme success upon good

internal network links and having a great understanding of employee needs, challenges and

wishes.

Nikki has a BSc in Nutrition and Health, and has previously worked as an Advanced

Regional Training Facilitator / Health Advisor for Bupa and a Senior Technical Nutrition,

Health & Exercise Adviser for Lamberts Healthcare. She is passionate about sharing the

wellbeing message by using a collaborative, sustainable and tailored approach to Unilever’s

unique workforce.

Freddie heads up commercial office agency at Cluttons, having joined in 2017 from Colliers. He leads a team that draws on the full knowledge of the firm to provide exceptional service to the landlord community. Freddie has a deep understanding of the Central London office market, specialising in the provision of strategic disposal and acquisition work for landlords. He also has a wealth of knowledge with regard to emerging trends and technologies which ensures he can provide design-development advice for both landlords and developers to generate additional return from schemes.

Araceli Camargo is a cognitive neuroscientist, science communicator, and is the Lab Director for The Centric Lab, which is in partnership with UCL. As a Lab Director she works on alongside Dr. Hugo Spiers from UCL to understand how people experience and are affected by the physical environment.

As a science communicator she has worked with clients ranging from the NHS to Lloyds TSB to Nike. The themes of her science communication centre around attention and memory. Prior to becoming the Director of the The Centric Lab, Araceli founded THECUBE, which is a coworking space in Shoreditch East London in 2009. THECUBE provided the platform for studying the relationship between people and the built environment.

Michele Neptune has over 15 years of experience in the fields of architecture and sustainability with a focus on certification systems, health and wellness, and custom programs. She has worked with clients in the commercial, financial, retail, education, and non-profit sectors.

As the Director of Sustainability at HLW International, Michele approaches each project with a thoughtful analysis of client’s ideology and goals. Working carefully to analyse available options and best solutions that are tailored to fit the client’s needs; she guides the full project team through conceptualization, design, construction and post occupancy.

Deeply committed to the field of green building, Michele and the sustainability team at HLW collaborate with the other offices to evaluate, develop, share and implement strategies on projects across the globe. A graduate of both Columbia University and Pratt Institute, Michele is also a member of the Sustainable Design Leaders Network and Urban Green, the local New York chapter of the USGBC.

Ann Marie Aguilar joined the IWBI team in 2016, and from a base in London oversees the day-to-day activities of IWBI across the EMEA region. She supports the business development and technical teams and is the first point of contact for clients and design teams interested in all applications of WELL Certification.

Ann Marie’s role is to support “early adopters” of the WELL Building Standard, by facilitating communication with IWBI technical experts to provide international translation, alternative adherence pathways and alignment with local sustainability rating tools. Ann Marie’s expertise in environmental sustainability and well-being has helped deliver strategic adoption of WELL into the UK, Ireland, continental Europe and the Middle East with support from BRE, Green Building Councils and other local market partners. She is also responsible for implementing new directives for research, growth, recruitment and education.

She brings to IWBI a technical background in sustainability consulting, having worked for 11 years with Arup Associates, the architectural consulting arm of Arup in their London offices. Her 17 years of global project experience range in scale from campus size to small city developments and identify a clear sustainability vision, objectives and measurable targets. She has extensive experience in LEED Certification, material deconstruction and material reuse processes. Whilst there she developed Arup’s health and well-being consultancy offering across their global operations. Previously, Ann Marie led her own sustainability consulting business in New York City.

Among the first cohort of WELL APs, she now also provides education and support to industry as a WELL Faculty member.

She earned her bachelor’s degree in architecture from the New York Institute of Technology and received Chartered Environmentalist status in 2012. She is also a Fellow of the Royal Society of the Arts, member of the Sustainability Futures Group at the RIBA and a member of the Institute of Environmental Management and Assessment.
