Bisnow Multifamily Annual Conference New England

Boston's CRE market is thriving to say the least, and multifamily developments are on the forefront of the conversation. Areas like Beacon Hill, Back Bay, Jamaica Plain, and the Seaport are continuing to grow. However with high demands comes high construction costs. Hamilton Company Chairman and CEO Harold Brown has documented that Multifamily construction costs have gone from 20K to 450K per unit in the city since the start of his company in 1954.

How are developers tackling this issue? Where are the ares to cut costs to make up for the money bleeding into construction? Will the demand turn anytime soon? And what about the middle ground? How is the affordability issue being addressed not just for low income housing but middle income as well?

Ten years after the Great Recession, the U.S economy is strong, unemployment is the lowest it's been since the 1960's and thousands of new apartments are getting built around the country. Yet, despite the influx of jobs, wage growth has remained stagnant, leaving millions of middle-class Americans without savings living paycheck to paycheck as they continue to fight for what generations have taken for granted: decent, affordable housing.

Come join Bisnow in Boston to hear from top multifamily executives, discover new advancements, learn about new technologies, and hear more about these topics to network with the biggest influencers in multifamily real estate. As always, Bisnow provides an abundance of opportunities for networking and deal-making in a fast-paced (almost) never boring, real 9-5 day (not like your current job). We look forward to seeing you there!
