Samy is the Chief Security Officer and co-founder of Openpath, where he oversees the comprehensive security posture on all things hardware, software and corporate, while also leading the hardware and R&D teams. Prior to Openpath, Samy co-founded and was the director of engineering at Fonality, an enterprise business communications company that sold to NetFortris in 2017. Since creating the MySpace worm in 2005, Samy has become a highly regarded expert in the security sector. His open source software, hardware and research highlights the insecurities and privacy implications in everyday technologies, making him an important asset to the Openpath security team. His work has been cited by the NSA, triggered hearings on Capitol Hill, and has been the basis for security advancements across virtually all major web browsers, smartphones, and other technologies.
