Exhausted workers with their heads on their desks now have a more comfortable midday resting option, thanks to a new concept expanding in the D.C. area.

Recharj, a retail concept that describes itself as "the first power nap studio in the U.S." will open its second location this week in Bethesda.

The studio offers single 25-minute power naps for $9 and unlimited monthly memberships for $79. Customers nap on a six-foot Yogibo, which it describes as "new age bean bag furniture," in private spaces with sound-absorbing drapes. The napping areas also include a full-body support pillow, a throw pillow, a blanket, an eye mask and ear plugs.

For those seeking guided meditation, Recharj offers a series of classes for $18 each. The classes, with names such as "Sound Bath Immersion," "Gong Bath" and "De-stress," are also included in the monthly membership.

Recharj opened its first location in September 2016 at 1445 New York Ave. NW in Downtown D.C. It will hold an open house Wednesday for its Bethesda location at 6430 Rockledge Drive.

The company has also brought its napping services straight to the customer with a corporate office program that it said serves more than 50 D.C.-area clients. It plans to expand the "Mindfulness at Work" program with its Bethesda location.

"We're excited to bring restorative and contemplative practices to an already-rich community of medical and healthcare professionals," Recharj founder Daniel Turissini said in a release. "We are on a mission to help people develop calm and balanced minds by bringing an approachable and enriching wellness experience unlike anything else."
