The Latest Tenant At WWF's West End HQ: President Obama

The World Wildlife Fund leases out excess office space at its West End HQ, and it appears it just landed a pretty big name for its newest tenant.

President Barack Obama has agreed to lease office space at the 1250 24th St NW building once he leaves office, the Washington Post reports.

The building, which WWF owns, is managed by Cushman & Wakefield and leased by JLL's Nathan Beach. It is unclear how large of a footprint the president's office will take up. Beach did not return a request for comment.

The Obamas will live just a mile away, in Kalorama, while daughter Sasha finishes high school, a slightly longer commute than he had to make from the White House's executive residence to the West Wing. Obama is pictured above visiting the 1776 incubator in 2014.

One of Obama's post-election priorities, in addition to designing his presidential library in Chicago, will be working on redistricting efforts to help Democratic candidates across the nation. [WaPo]
