CoStar has landed on Richmond as the site for its new Research Operations HQ, where it will collect and analyze market data for clients.

The DC-based CRE research firm will occupy the top four floors at the WestRock building on the James River. The move will bring 730 jobs and $250M in investments to the city.

"We employ a highly educated and motivated workforce, and chose Richmond as the ideal environment in which to grow our company because it offers access to an incredibly strong higher education system and a great quality of life," CoStar CEO Andrew Florance said in a release.

The 125k SF deal will likely be the largest office lease in Richmond this year. By the end of November, the company will occupy the top two floors of the building and move in more than 200 employees.
