B.F. Saul Looks To Demolish Tysons Office Building, Build New 450K SF Project

The office building at 7926 Jones Branch Drive in Tysons

An aging Tysons office building could soon be torn down and replaced with a new project nearly twice its size.

B.F. Saul submitted plans to Fairfax County to increase the density at 7926 Jones Branch Drive to allow it to replace the 260K SF building with a 450K SF office tower with retail, the Washington Business Journal reports

The 1970s-era office building is currently occupied by bus ticketing service company iLikebus, communications company iTalkBB, software company Wide Point Corp. and Cricket Media, according to Google Maps. The property sits next to the Hilton Worldwide headquarters, less than a mile from the Tysons Galleria mall and the Tysons Corner Metro station.

The developer did not say whether it plans to break ground speculatively or wait for pre-leasing before breaking ground on the redevelopment. The Tysons office market is experiencing a surge of development around its four Metro stations and has landed multiple big leases in recent months, including satellite company OneWeb, software company Appian and technology firm MicroStrategy.
