DC-based Maedwell Cos plans to break ground in Q2 2017 on a 14-unit mixed-use building in Bloomingdale

The project, called the Denizen, will also include a grocery store and a 4k SF co-working space, Washingtonian reports.

The 19,500 SF building at 1634 North Capitol St NW, rendered above, will have a total of 8k SF of retail. In addition to a garden-style grocery tenant, the developer's website says its targeted tenants include a bakery, a coffee house, a teacher's kitchen, an Italian restaurant, a nail salon and a gym.

The co-working space, operated by Maedwell, will have one-, two- and three-person offices and less open space than traditional shared workspaces. The apartments will range from one- to three-bedroom units and tenants will have access to a rooftop terrace. [Wash]
