Two years after David Weisel replaced founder Greg Leisch as the CEO of Delta Associates, the DC-based research firm has a new leader.

Weisel resigned last week and Will Rich, who led the firm's multifamily research practice, will take over as president, the Washington Business Journal reports.

The change comes as Transwestern, Delta Associates' parent company, is reorganizing its research arm to focus more on multifamily research and strategic consulting. The reorganization resulted in an undisclosed number of layoffs.

Delta Associates will continue to publish quarterly apartment, condo and office reports, in addition to its consulting practice.

"I’m looking forward to continuing to provide services that our clients need," Rich, who has been with the company for 15 years, said. "This new role will allow me to have more exposure to the commercial real estate industry and to the players involved in the local market."  [WBJ]
