The Queensway’s notorious "gentlemen’s club", The House of Lancaster, is no more, succumbing to the wrecker’s ball Feb. 21.

The Etobicoke strip club, which operated for 37 years till closing last year, was demolished at a public event attended by politicians, the media and new developers from Parallax Development Corp.

Parallax purchased the property at 689 The Queensway in 2017. Plans are for the land to be replaced by 55 two- and three-bedroom townhomes, dubbed the Royal Q Towns. Units will range from 1,500 SF to 1,630 SF and are priced in the $900K range. Occupancy is tentatively scheduled for 2019.
