A sports bar and entertainment chain will expand into the Bay Area. Big Al’s has leased 46K SF at TMS McCarthy’s McCarthy Ranch Marketplace in Milpitas. Big Al’s Silicon Valley will be at 15 Ranch Drive and will become the company’s fifth site and second location in California. The company’s first California store opened in the Inland Empire in March. The new location will tentatively open in late fall.

Big Al’s President and CEO Daniel Kirkwood said the company has been actively expanding into additional locations in high-growth, employer-rich areas in communities underserved by this type of business. He said there has been increased interest in entertainment-style concepts like Big Al’s following the closure of big-box retailers.

Big Al’s Silicon Valley will offer upscale bowling, arcade gaming, over 21 private bar and game rooms and a stadium-like sports bar and grill with a 55-foot high-definition laser projection screen.
