St. Anton Communities will begin construction on a new $88M transit-oriented multifamily development in Campbell next month. The firm's Residences at Railway project is next to the downtown Campbell light rail station.

As an infill project, improvements will include bicycle lanes on Railway Avenue, a direct pedestrian connection to the nearby Los Gatos Creek Trail, a new pedestrian connection to Dillon Avenue, and new sidewalks and lighting throughout Railway Avenue.

The site is near downtown businesses and will be the largest apartment community built in downtown Campbell in nearly 20 years. Residences at Railway includes 119 apartments, 32 townhomes and six duet homes designed by KTGY Architecture + Planning. The five-story apartment building will be above subterranean parking and boasts a rooftop theater and iLounges for resident-shared workspaces. Construction is expected to take about two years.

St. Anton plans to build more than 1,000 transit-oriented development units in Silicon Valley during the next two years, says St. Anton founder Peter Geremia. Meanwhile, Campbell has been drawing development, including the Creekside @ 17 office project.
