Columbia Property Trust is on its way to fully leasing up 650 California St. The company signed a new 86K SF, eight-year lease with Affirm, a financial technology company, and a 22K SF lease renewal and expansion for one of the building’s current tenants.

Affirm will occupy floors eight to 12 and the annex of the building. It will move from its headquarters at 633 Folsom in August.

These new deals fall on the heels of Columbia securing a 12-year lease with WeWork for 61K SF. In the past 10 months, tenants have leased about 200K SF at 650 California. The 477K SF building is now 89% leased. It was 65% leased in June 2016.

The 33-story building in the Financial District underwent a major renovation and remodeling project that was finished in 2013. The landmark contains mid-century architecture and clean, modern interior design.

Renovations done within the last two years included upgrades to the main lobby and the creation of a new café and tenant lounge. A new luxury on-site concierge service is available for tenants as well as a fitness and conference center. Other amenities include on-site valet parking, secure bike parking, EV and Scoot-E-Bike charging stations and immediate Zipcar access.

Cushman & Wakefield is spearheading efforts to lease the building.
