The final Transportation Management Plan for the Golden State Warriors' planned Mission Bay event center seeks to put forth objectives to help manage the traffic expected from the new development.

Expected traffic includes traffic during events, but also from the retail and office components of the $1B project.

The plan seeks to reduce single occupancy vehicle trips, boost walking, highlight and promote the use of transit, maximize bicycle use, and create a high-quality walking experience from nearby homes, offices, transit stations and parking garages, according to SocketSite. The plan also seeks to maximize safety for pedestrians and cyclists and create a safe and efficient flow of vehicle traffic.

The privately financed complex is expected to be ready for the Warriors' 2018-2019 season. [SS]
