Redevelopment of UCSF's Laurel Heights campus could bring 560 new housing units, retail and open space to the site.

Prado Group and SKS Investments have released preliminary designs for 3333 California St, showing a market plaza on one side of the site, extending Hilltop Park and turning the theater building into housing, according to Curbed.

The developers have held several community meetings to discuss ideas for the site and the existing 350k SF building. The university started looking for development opportunities in 2012. SKS and Prado have a 99-year ground lease with UCSF with a five-year lease-back agreement. [Curbed]
