ORIGINAL STORY:

Just in time for baseball season, a new hotel will open in May across from AT&T Park. Hotel Via, a 159-room independent hotel, is taking reservations for stays beginning July 1. The 12-story hotel includes 148 rooms and 11 suites. Room rates start at $279/night.

The 12-story hotel offers a rooftop lounge with 360-degree views of AT&T Park, San Francisco, East Bay and beyond. The 3K SF rooftop designed by C Walters Design is exclusive to hotel guests and private events and provides an outdoor lounge with private draped cabanas, contemporary furniture, communal tables and open-air fire pits.

The hotel’s exterior and interior were designed to reflect the waterfront neighborhood of South Beach, which offers a mix of historic brick warehouses and new luxury lofts and high-rises. Each room offers minimalist loft design with modern custom-made furniture with no two rooms on each floor the same.

Technology is interconnected within the hotel, offering in-room triple-play services for voice, video and data. The hotel uses KEYPR, a highly connected keyless room entry system, and high-speed Ethernet.
