The company has renamed the 302K SF campus La Jolla Reserve.

Built in 2001, La Jolla Reserve is 78% leased to such companies as Banner Bank, Cooley LLP, Provident Insurance Group, Regus, Shell and Systran.

“The investment is the latest sign of our long-term commitment to San Diego,” Irvine Co. Office Properties President Doug Holte said. “It is also recognition of La Jolla UTC’s reputation as a nationally recognized center of innovation.”

Common amenities include a new outdoor café, a game room and a fitness studio with spa-like showers and a changing room. Irvine Co. plans to enhance two lobbies and transform indoor and outdoor common areas into shared workspaces designed to encourage collaboration and innovation.

Irvine Co. has been an active investor in the area. In January, it acquired Gateway at Torrey Hills, and about a year ago, the company acquired nearby Township 14.

Kevin Shannon and Brunson Howard of Newmark Knight Frank, based in San Diego, handled negotiations on behalf of the seller.
