The firms are set to close on the property at 1700 Old Deerfield Road this spring and start construction in the second half of this year. Ante scooped up the 59-unit Portrait apartment building just months after buying a 56-unit, four-story apartment building at 4513 N. Clark St., Crain's Chicago Business reported. Essex Realty Group, which did not name the buyer, said the building has added needed retail and apartment options to the area.
"The developer’s first-class product was a significant factor in the buyer’s decision to purchase the asset," Essex Realty Group's Jordan Gottlieb said in a press release. ]]></content:encoded>

Annenberg purchased the 14-story property at 3121 N. Sheridan Road for about $30M, sources told Crain's Chicago Business. Seller Ventas put the property on the market last year after Brookdale Senior Living didn't renew its master lease at the building. 
The company is renovating the building to create 296 studio and one-bedroom apartments, aiming to offer them to renters later this year.]]></content:encoded>
