The roughly 10-acre site once slated to be a lab project is now set to be home to a big mixed-use development, the Needham Observer reported. The new plans include up to 480 housing units, 100K SF of medical office space and 10K SF of retail space. 
The Bulfinch Cos. President Robert Schlager presented the plans to the Needham Planning Board on Tuesday. The company seeks to pursue the project under a zoning overhaul for the site.

King Street Properties' Allston LabWorks in Boston landed drug manufacturer Terrestrial Bio for a 42K SF lease, according to a Terrestrial Bio press release.
The site will be Terrestrial's new headquarters and manufacturing facility as it works to commercialize its pharmaceutical patches.
Terrestrial, formerly known as Vaxess Technologies Inc., also announced Thursday it had secured $50M in Series C funding and completed a rebranding process.

<content:encoded><![CDATA[A Back Bay office building was handed to the lender following its Tuesday auction.
LNR Partners, a subsidiary of Starwood Property Trust, made the winning bid of $95M for the Park Square Building at 31 St. James Ave., the Boston Business Journal reported.
The lender oversaw special servicing on the property's loan to the former owner, New York-based Capital Properties. The real estate was last assessed at $119M, according to public records.
LNR Partners became the special servicer in 2024 after Capital Properties missed a monthly payment for the $160M loan tied to the building. The property's lender at the time was Bank of America.
