The developer of Fashion District Philadelphia, the new shopping center in the former Gallery at Market East building, has shed light on what retailers will be occupying the space.

Pennsylvania Real Estate Investment Trust will add clothiers Levi Strauss & Co., Columbia Sportswear, shoe company Skechers and women's accessory store Francesca's to the previously announced H&M at the 730K SF center, the Philadelphia Inquirer reports.

Additionally, a 36K SF AMC Theatres location will open with eight screens, recliners, and food and beverage options on the third floor of the building, making it the first movie theater showing first-run films in Center City in years. MSC Retail brokered AMC's lease, as well as a recent takeover of the Pearl Theatre on Temple's Campus as AMC Broadstreet 7 and a renovation of the AMC 309 Cinema in North Wales.

Other tenants at Fashion District Philadelphia include a retail outpost for medical center Wills Eye, as well as Burlington Coat Factory, department store Century 21 and Tiffany's Bakery. Burlington has remained open through the renovation of the building. The food court, to be named "Market Eats," will include a burger shop, a high-end pizzeria and a sports bar serving to-go cocktails marketed toward commuters.

Fashion District Philadelphia, a joint venture between PREIT and Macerich, is under construction simultaneously with the neighboring Market East development, a combination of multifamily and office space with ground-floor retail of its own.
