Cushman & Wakefield has poached a CBRE broker to serve as a director in the firm’s retail group.

C&W hired Sean Moran, who most recently served as a vice president at CBRE. He will work with retail brokerage execs Steven Soutendijk and Alan Schmerzler out of Cushman’s 1290 Sixth Ave. office, according to a press release.

Over his more than 10-year career, Moran has been involved with over 125 commercial real estate deals valued at more than $2.4B.

Those deals include a 10k SF lease and expansion last summer for Junior’s restaurant at 1626 Broadway, on the Times Square bow tie.

Among other accolades, in 2010, Moran was a recipient of CBRE’s Manhattan Rookie of the Year award, given to promising rising stars in the company’s retail division.
