Here’s How Ridiculous the View from JDS Development’s Brooklyn Supertall Tower Will Be

Placeholder

Ever since JDS development put together the assemblage for the possible future of home Brooklyn’s first 1,000-foot-plus building, folks have been wondering what the views from the top will look like. Now we have a pretty good idea, thanks to this video. Air rights from the landmarked Dime Savings Bank building will let the building, at 340 Flatbush Ave Extension, dwarf everything around it.

This thing, if built, will be so tall that from the upper floors it’ll appear about even with the 1,368-foot roof height of 1 WTC across the river in Manhattan. It’s being designed by SHoP, the firm commissioned for 111 West 57th St, the other supertall residential tower in the works from JDS. [6SF]
