The Hospital for Special Surgery, which specializes in orthopedic medicine, will open a 15K SF clinic at 35 Hudson Yards.

"What we see in Hudson Yards is a development transforming a portion of Manhattan where there will be a very large population living and working," HSS President and CEO Louis Shapiro told Crain’s.

It is the second clinic to come to Related and Oxford Properties’ megaproject, with Mount Sinai planning a 19K SF clinic at nearby 55 Hudson Yards.

Surgeries won’t happen at the location, according to Crain’s, but there will physicians and physical therapists available to treat patients.

35 Hudson Yards will span 1.1M SF and reach 72 stories. Equinox is the anchor tenant in the building, and is planning to build its first hotel there along with one of its luxury fitness clubs. The mixed-use tower will also feature office space, ground-floor retail and 137 condominiums. The building's construction has topped out, New York YIMBY reports.
