Uber Co-Founder Enters Real Estate Business With New Venture

Uber co-founder and CEO of Expa Studios Garrett Camp isn't done innovating just yet—he's started a new venture and is taking his first steps into real estate.

Haus, as the online platform is called, focuses on the buying and selling of residential property by digitizing offers from buyers so that all parties can see the moving pieces, giving the negotiation process more transparency, TechCrunch reports.

The platform does more than just show the price tag of each property—it keeps track of a buyer’s financial security, extra terms on the deal, and the amount of upfront cash a buyer is willing to offer. While there are potential pitfalls with the system, like sellers or agents bidding to drive up their property’s price, the system aims to streamline and open up the real estate process. [TC]
