Whole Foods to Launch Lower Cost ‘365’ Stores

Placeholder

A new, lower-cost version of Whole Foods grocery stores will be debuting in five markets in the second half of 2016. "365" by Whole Foods Market has been described as “hip, cool and tech-oriented” by co-founder and co-chief executive John Mackey. The company appears to be specifically targeting areas with large hipster populations, MarketWatch reports. The first of the new stores will be in the Silver Lake neighborhood of Los Angeles, which was selected as America’s No. 1 hippest hipster neighborhood by Forbes. Each of the new 365 stores will be opening in markets where Whole Foods already has a presence. Additional 365 locations are slated for Houston, Portland, Bellevue and Santa Monica[MW]
