This Platform Matches Deals With Investors—And It Just Raised A Whopping $50M

National

Real estate investment startup Cadre has just raised a staggering $50M in a Series B funding round, compared to raising only $18.3 million during Series A last year. Backers included General Catalyst, Jack Ma (Alibaba), Thrive Capital’s Joshua Kushner and his brother, real estate developer Jared Kushner, who are also strategic advisers

Cadre is an online investment portal co-founded by former Blackstone and Goldman Sachs employee CEO Ryan Williams

Williams, who is referred to as "rock star" by some of his backers, has built an in-house team with offices in Soho that “can be creative and strategic and handle complicated investment structures.”

The tight-lipped CEO describes the startup as a matchmaker that pairs clients with the right real estate deals using unique software and its own specialized staff. Williams said investors have poured “hundreds of millions” of dollars into deals around the country being offered by top sponsors through Cadre, the NY Post reports. [NYP]
