JLL has named a successor to longtime CEO Colin Dyer (pictured right)—current firm president Christian Ulbrich (left). He will assume the role effective Oct. 1.

Christian has served as president since June, and prior to that, served as chief executive of the company’s European, Middle Eastern and African business. He joined the company in 2005 as managing director of JLL Germany.

The brokerage giant has enjoyed rapid growth under Colin's leadership since 2004, leading to $6B in revenue growth, 80 global acquisitions, and the addition of more than 100 offices and 30 new countries to its geographic footprint.

“Working closely with Christian since he joined JLL, I know firsthand his deep understanding of global real estate dynamics and ability to lead across wide and diverse geographies,” Colin said in a statement.

Colin will continue to guide the company’s data, information and analytics priorities though the end of 2016. He also will remain on the Board of Directors through annual meetings in spring 2017 and serve as an adviser through 2017.
