A marked moment of the much-anticipated meeting between President Donald Trump and North Korean leader Kim Jong Un turned toward a subject the president is well-versed on: real estate.

The meeting Tuesday, the first between a sitting U.S. president and a leader of North Korea, was intended to cover assurances about demilitarization in North Korea. But during the meeting, Trump also brought up the natural beauty of North Korea's shoreline.

"They have great beaches. You see that whenever they’re exploding their cannons into the ocean, right?" Trump said during the press conference following the meeting in Singapore, relaying his conversation with Kim. "I said, 'Boy, look at the view. Wouldn’t that make a great condo behind?' And I explained, I said, 'You know, instead of doing that, you could have the best hotels in the world right there.' Think of it from a real estate perspective."

He went on to highlight the country's prime location between China and South Korea.

Trump couched his comments on North Korean real estate potential as part of his push for peace on the peninsula, CNN reports.

Trump's remark that the isolated country would be a prime spot for development raises the question of what companies might take advantage of a newly open North Korea.

The White House went so far as to produce a video for the meeting that some mistook for North Korean propaganda when it was first shown at the press conference, according to the Washington Post.

The four-minute film, presented like a movie trailer, promoted the future of North Korea as “a story of opportunity.” The video warned of two results: moving back, which was underpinned with images of war and weapons; and moving forward, promoting investment from around the world, innovative technology and new discoveries.

Trump said the video was intended to present "the highest level of future development."

"I told him, you may not want this," Trump told reporters. "You may want to do a much smaller version of this. I mean, you’re going to do something. But you may want to do a smaller version."
