SMS Assist named former Rackspace Hosting CEO Taylor Rhodes its new chief executive.

SMS Assist, founded in 2003, develops property management software for landlords and businesses. Rhodes left Rackspace after the company sold for $4.3B, and through this transition SMS Assist’s former CEO, Mike Rothman, will stay on as chairman, My San Antonio reports.

My San Antonio said SMS Assist aims to standardize the highly fragmented facilities maintenance services industry. The company became a unicorn in June 2016 after a round of funding raised $150M and pushed it over the $1B mark.
