JPMorgan Chase will reportedly open its core real estate investment vehicle, Strategic Property Fund, to foreign investors for the first time.

The New York investment bank’s fund is the largest commingled real estate fund in the world with a net asset value of roughly $33B, according to Property InvestSG.

The asset manager will start receiving cross-border capital investments by the middle of next year, PERENews reports. JPMorgan did not immediately respond to requests for comment.

The fund, which launched in 1998, focuses largely on U.S. office, residential, industrial and retail assets. As of December 2016, the fund’s portfolio included 142 industrial buildings, more than 24,000 apartment units, 75 office buildings, 11 regional malls and five lifestyle and urban centers.

Though foreign investors will begin making commitments in the new year, they may not be able to become limited partners until 2020, PI reports.

Strategic Property Fund is managed by JPMorgan Asset Management and overseen by co-portfolio managers Kim Adams and Ann Cole.
