Muse and Stockport Council are to develop the next 60K SF office phase of Stockport Exchange speculatively.

A planning application for the latest phase of the ÂŁ145M scheme has been submittted. The six-storey block will sit next to One Stockport Exchange.

“The next phase of Stockport Exchange is being developed speculatively, although there are a number of enquiries that are already being actively followed up," a statement from Stockport Council said.

The 48K SF One Stockport Exchange was fully let within six months of completion. Recommerce business musicMagpie took one floor as its new U.K. headquarters and national bus operator Stagecoach are now fitting out.

“We’re now looking to deliver a further office building, which will bring more jobs to the area and add to the vibrancy of this new commercial quarter,” Muse Development Director Wes Erlam said.

The start on site is planned for summer, with completion anticipated in spring 2020.

The scheme will ultimately deliver up to 375K SF of office space and 28K SF of commercial floor space.

Cushman & Wakefield and CBRE are joint agents for the scheme, which is designed by Aedas RHWL.
