Harridge Development Group Buys LA Times Plant

A partnership headed by Harridge Development Group just bought the 26-acre LA Times printing plant near the Arts District for $120M.

The property is off Alameda Street between Olympic Boulevard and Eighth Street. It had been on the market since November of last year.

Harridge plans to develop part of the site, around seven acres, for retail use, including a possible grocery store, The Real Deal reports.

Even though the property has sold, the LA Times still has leases on four of the buildings that do not expire until 2023.

Tribune Media Co closed the sale last week of the LA Times building, in DTLA at First and Spring streets, to Vancouver's Onni Group for at least $105M. [TRD]
