Pamela Andes: Allen Matkins' Problem Solver

Placeholder

Meet  the person who transforms blighted properties: Pam Andes (snapped with her family in Hawaii), an environmental partner in Allen Matkins' OC office and head of the industrial and logistics industry group. In plain English, Pam is the one who helps get projects going, from dealing with environmental consultants to handling acquisitions and dispositions. She's made a career of working on the most challenging environmentally impacted projects. Pam tells us many of her days are spent on the phone or in meetings with regulatory agencies, consultants, developers and others involved with these types of projects. She's also chair of the firm-wide community outreach committee.

Pam tells us she loves seeing projects take shape, from an undeveloped piece of land or a rundown industrial facility all the way to a shiny new development. Years ago she was deeply involved in the Empire Center redevelopment in Burbank, which Zelman did. A longtime Lockheed facility, she worked with Zelman to understand and tackle the environmental issues involved with Lockheed’s remediation and the shopping center development; the remediation is still ongoing today. Here's Pam accepting an American flag that was flown in the office’s honor over Camp Leatherneck in Afghanistan on Nov. 29, 2013. She's with Marine Staff Sgt. Brian Pulst and First Lt. Mick Denner. The OC office’s community outreach committee collected 17 boxes of food, healthy snacks, toiletries, comfort items and handmade cards that were sent to and enjoyed by these troops and their platoon.
