Mixed-Use Proposals On Deck For Boyle Heights Property

Placeholder

This lot in Boyle Heights may become a mixed-use project with affordable housing and retail if the City of LA goes ahead with plans to sell it.

A private company could buy the former Community Redevelopment Agency property at 110 South Boyle Ave across the street from Mariachi Plaza.

Two proposals from different firms have been submitted to develop the 14k SF lot, Urbanize LA reports.

The property would have to be acquired at fair market value.

The new building would join the Santa Cecilia apartments, a four-story affordable housing project under construction at the corner of Boyle Avenue and First Street. [ULA]
