A new mixed-income housing project could be coming to South Park at 1340 South Hill St., according to plans filed last week with the city.
Commercial buildings on the property would be torn down to make way for the new building.
The development would have 233 units with 21 of them set aside for very-low-income residents, Urbanize LA reports. The affordable units would be part of the project in exchange for a density bonus that would allow it to be larger than current zoning allows.
It would be across the street from Emerald, an in-the-works seven-story mixed-use project.
