Norman Horowitz at Chelsea Piers Pier 60 on Oct. 18, 2011
Well, now we can say we've heard Black-Eyed Peas go acoustic. ("I Gotta Feelin'" actually sounds pretty nice that way.) At REBNY's Residential Deal of the Year Awards last night at Chelsea Piers, though, the music wasn't the main event. We snapped Halstead's dapper three-piece suit afficionado Norman Horowitz (playin' it cool for the camera), winner of the sale of the year award. Rental deal of the year awards went to The Corcoran Group's Lydia Sussek and Prudential Douglas Elliman's David Spencer.
Hall Willkie and Sharon Baum at Chelsea Piers Pier 60 on Oct. 18, 2011
Brown Harris Stevens' Hall Willkie presented crowd favorite Sharon Baum of The Corcoran Group The Henry Forster Award for lifetime achievement, which includes more than $1B in sales. Attribute it in part to maternal advice. A few years ago, Sharon was visiting her mother at the Manhattan House and tried to excuse herself to show some apartments. Mom's response: "Don't go show any apartments. Go sell apartments!"
Bill Abramson, Bob Knakal, Benjamin Fox, and Annie Yao at Chelsea Piers Pier 60 on Oct. 18, 2011
We also snapped Buchbinder & Warren brokerage director Bill Abramson, Massey Knakal chairman Bob Knakal and colleagueBenjamin Fox, and Buchbinder & Warren's Annie Yao. Attendees raised money for the REBNY Residential Member in Need Fund, which gives financial grants to REBNY members facing hardship because a physical illness or family crisis. Over the past 23 years, the event has raised over $2M for various charities.
Sarah Williams at Chelsea Piers Pier 60 on Oct. 18, 2011
You can almost hear the acoustic guy playing Lady Gaga's"Papparazzi" with this shot of Rookie Salesperson of the Year: Halstead's Sarah Williams.
