Dean Trantalis was elected mayor of Fort Lauderdale on March 13, 2018. His election represented the largest victory in city history for a candidate running for a first term as mayor. Dean previously served on the City Commission representing District 2 from 2003 to 2006 and from 2013 until his ascension to the mayor's office. He twice served as vice mayor: from 2005 to 2006 and from 2016 to 2017. He has represented the city on the board of directors of the Broward League of Cities, the Broward County Homeless Continuum of Care Task Force, the Broward Water Resources Task Force and the Broward County-Palm Beach County Joint C-51 Reservoir Work Group. Born and raised in Norwich, Connecticut, Dean attended high school at Norwich Free Academy. At Boston University, he majored in political science and graduated cum laude and with distinction in 1975. He received a Juris Doctorate in 1979 from Stetson University School of Law, while completing international law courses in Eastern Europe, Russia, and London. Dean was admitted to the Connecticut and Florida Bar Associations in 1980 and has practiced law in Broward County since 1982. He currently maintains a successful general law practice in Broward County with some emphasis in the areas of real estate, probate, estate planning, bankruptcy, and corporate matters. Commissioner Trantalis is a member of the Federal Bar and the National Association of Bankruptcy Attorneys. His long track record of public service in our community began with his involvement in the fight for equal rights. In 1995, Dean served as the co-chair of Americans for Equality and oversaw the successful enactment of the Broward County Human Rights Ordinance. This law provided individuals with protection from discrimination in housing, employment and public accommodations based on their sexual orientation. Dean also helped manage the successful passage of the Broward County domestic partnership law, extending spousal-like benefits not only to county employees, but to all employees of entities doing business with Broward County. Through his work fighting for equality, Dean discovered a passion for public service that led him to become involved in multiple community organizations, including the Fort Lauderdale Citizen Police Review Board, Broward House, the Dolphin Democrats, the Riviera Towers Co-Operative Board, the Broward County Planning Council and the John Graves Foundation Board of Trustees. Recognized for his leadership in our community, Dean has received multiple awards and honors for his work, including the Small Business Award from the Greater Fort Lauderdale Chamber of Commerce in 2007. In spring 2015, he was an inaugural honoree of the Diversity Honors awards presented by the Harvey Milk Foundation. He also was honored as a Community Champion by the Broward County Commission and the Broward County Human Rights Board for his work on behalf of equal rights. The Harvey Milk Foundation and the Pride Center at Equality Park honored him again in April 2018 with a lifetime achievement award.

Greg T. West is President and Chief Executive Officer of ZOM Living and is responsible for all aspects of the Company with particular focus on development activities nationally. He joined ZOM in 1997 and since been involved with all aspects of the development process including identifying new opportunities, compiling due diligence and underwriting parameters. He is also responsible for project design, permitting, and construction. Mr. West also plays a key role in business development and investor relations. Presently ZOM has under construction 3,700 units in Florida, Texas, Chicago, Carolinas and the Mid-Atlantic. Over the next twelve months the company will start 2,200 additional units bringing active development volume over $1.7 billion dollars. Mr. West received a Bachelor of Arts in Accounting from Southern Methodist University and has received two Masters of Science degrees from Texas A&M University in Land Development and Construction Management. He serves on the Board of Directors of the National Multifamily Housing Council, is a board member of the Miami Downtown Development Authority and on the Advisory Board of the University of Miami Master of Construction Management program. Mr. West is the current Chair of the ULI Southeast Florida and Caribbean District Council and is a member of the Gold Multifamily Council.

Joseph Kavana is the Founder and CEO of K Group Holdings, Inc. As an active developer and investor in the real estate industry for more than 20 years, Mr. Kavana’s experience spans across different asset classes including land development, commercial/retail, multi-family and industrial. As the driving force and vision of what today has come to be known as Metropica – a premier mixed-use development in the heart of Sunrise – Mr. Kavana has from inception been fully involved with the project. Mr. Kavana is also involved in several other international real estate development projects including YOO Punta del Este, Uruguay and YOO Nordelta in Buenos Aires, Argentina. In the early 1990s, Mr. Kavana was one of the managing partners of Equinvest Marymont Ltd., a multi- family entity that, together with the Ibex Group – representing interests of the Bacardi family, acquired over 2,500 multifamily units in San Antonio, Texas. Mr. Kavana also bought and sold several industrial buildings. In 1980 Mr. Kavana founded Sagaz Industries, Inc., a manufacturing company with operations throughout the United States, Canada, Argentina, Mexico, the Far East and Italy. Sagaz was sold to Pennzoil in March 2000. Mr. Kavana was born in Uruguay in 1949 and has permanently lived in Miami, Florida since 1980. He studied Medicine in Montevideo’s School of Medicine. He has served as a member of the Board of Directors of the Greater Miami Jewish Federation and its Executive Committee. As the previous Chairman for AIPAC in Dade County, Florida, Mr. Kavana actively recruited members for this prestigious organization based in Washington, DC. Steven W. Hudson serves as President of Hudson Capital Group (HCG), a position he has held since June 1997. HCG is a private firm that invests and manages assets in private equity, select start-up ventures and real estate holdings. Since inception, HCG has been involved in the development of over 4,000 apartments and condo units in Fort Lauderdale, Naples, Sarasota, Tampa, Orlando and Dallas. Additionally, through its affiliate companies, HCG owns and manages warehouses, retail centers and office buildings throughout South Florida. In 2008, Mr. Hudson added the title of Restaurateur, subsequent to taking over Bimini Boatyard Bar & Grill, now Boatyard, in Fort Lauderdale, a 13,000 square foot iconic waterfront restaurant. Mr. Hudson served as President and CEO of International Yacht Collection (IYC) from May 1999 until July 2007. Through its five offices worldwide, IYC specialized in new construction, brokerage, charter, yacht management and crew placement for megayachts 100 feet and above. IYC was acquired by Trinity Yachts in 2007. From 1995 through 1999, Mr. Hudson served as a Vice President for Republic Services, Inc., a leading provider of environmental services for commercial, industrial, municipal and residential customers. From 1991 through 1995, Mr. Hudson held several positions and worked closely with his father, Harris “Whit” Hudson at Hudson Management Corp, a holding company for several solid waste services and recycling companies located throughout Florida. Mr. Hudson was born and raised in Fort Lauderdale and is actively involved giving back to the community through numerous organizations, serving on the Executive Committee for the Humane Society of Broward County, Riverwalk Trust, The Community Foundation of Broward, as well as Broward Workshop. Through the Hudson Family Foundation, Mr. Hudson has aided several local organization including Broward Health, Joe DiMaggio’s Children’s Hospital, JDRF, American Heart Association, Boys and Girls Clubs of Broward, Jack and Jill Children’s Center, Take Stock in Children, Heart Gallery of Broward County, Habitat for Humanity, Broward Center, Fort Lauderdale Museum of Art, Young at Art and many more. Dev Motwani serves as President of Merrimac Ventures, a Fort Lauderdale based real estate firm that focuses on value-add investment and development opportunities. Property types owned and operated include hotels, condos, retail, office and rental apartments primarily in South Florida but also throughout the United States. Dev is also Founder and Managing Partner of Ramesh Properties, a distressed real estate investment fund focused on opportunistic investments in residential and commercial development sites throughout South Florida. He currently oversees nearly $750 million in development projects. Current projects include the Four Seasons Hotel and Private Residences, The Gale Boutique Hotel and Residences, as well as Las Olas Riverfront, all in the Fort Lauderdale area. Dev is Founder and Managing Partner of Chieftain Residential, a yield-oriented distressed residential fund purchasing single-family homes and residential land, primarily in the Southeast US and Texas. The fund aims to balance current income opportunities through the rental markets for its single family home inventory, while also targeting capital appreciation in single family homes and land as the US Residential Market continues to rebound. Prior to his current role Dev worked at Credit Suisse in New York City, where he first structured OTC Equity Derivative trades for the firm's largest corporate clients and then for the firm's largest hedge fund clients. Before that he worked in the White House and on the 2000 Gore/Lieberman Presidential Campaign. Dev plays an active role in the South Florida Community, through his involvement with numerous charities and business organizations, currently serving on the board of the Broward Center for the Performing Arts Foundation, Fort Lauderdale's Economic Development Advisory Board, and the Downtown Council. He was recently appointed to the Orange Bowl Host Committee. He previously served on the boards of the Riverwalk Trust, Greater Fort Lauderdale Chamber of Commerce, and Broward County's Small Business Advisory Board. Dev has served as Co-Chair for the Bonnet House's Annual Impressions Fundraiser, the Ghost Light Society's Annual Soiree, and the Jeb Bush Classic Beach Bash benefitting the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. This year the Motwani family co-founded the Laughing Out Loud fundraiser benefitting the Scleroderma Foundation, which raised over $170,000 for the charity. Dev graduated from Duke University with a Bachelors of Science degree in Economics and Public Policy and from Columbia University's Masters of Science in Real Estate Development Program. He has also studied at the London School of Economics.

Congressman Patrick Erin Murphy is currently an Executive Vice President of Coastal Construction. He oversees Coastal’s diversification and growth as the company continues its expansion throughout Florida. Additionally, he co-chairs Coastal’s philanthropic arm, Coastal Cares. Patrick’s first job was a day laborer, then project engineer, estimating assistant and accounting manager with Coastal. After graduating from the University of Miami, Patrick worked at Deloitte where he earned his CPA license. Patrick served in U.S. Congress, representing Palm Beach and Treasure Coast in the House of Representatives for four years (2013-2017) and was the nominee for the US Senate in 2016. After leaving office in 2017, he was named chair of the Future Forum Foundation, a nonprofit organization that researches key issues impacting millennials, such as automation, artificial intelligence and the sharing economy. Scott is responsible for strategic direction, sourcing investment opportunities, capital markets and operations for Tricera Capital. Previously, Scott was Vice President of Acquisitions at Thor Equities. He was responsible for acquisitions in the Southeast United States including Miami, Washington, DC, Nashville, Austin and Charleston. Additionally, he was a key member of Thor’s expansion into Montreal, London and France. At Thor, Scott completed in excess of $2 Billion of acquisitions focusing on urban retail and mixed-use assets. Prior to Thor, Scott was the Director of acquisitions at Becker Brothers where he was responsible for sourcing and executing value-add strategies across the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic U.S. During his tenure at Becker Brothers, he managed a mix of asset types including retail, office and parking garages. Before Becker Brothers, Scott began his career at Ernst & Young in the Transaction Real Estate Advisory group where he also obtained his CPA license in the state of NY. Scott is a native of South Florida and currently resides in Miami with his wife Laura and son Lucas. He received his MS and BS in Accounting from the University of Florida where he graduated Summa Cum Laude. Scott is a member of ICSC, and CIASF, in addition to several philanthropic organizations he dedicates time to in his community.

In 2016, Jenni Morejon was named President & CEO of the Fort Lauderdale Downtown Development Authority (DDA), the first woman to lead the agency in its 54-year history. The DDA was created in 1965 by the Florida State Legislature to promote and sustain investment in Downtown Fort Lauderdale, now a growing urban center in the Southeast Florida metropolis of 6 million people. Jenni oversees the implementation of projects and programs that require close collaboration with federal, state and local governments and a diverse group of Downtown stakeholders. The agency’s broad scope of work spans from major capital projects to community enhancement programs. She is currently facilitating the development of a new federal courthouse and a new joint city/county government campus, while implementing streetscape beautification projects and public art installations that enhance mobility and improve the urban public realm. Prior to joining the DDA, Jenni served as director of the department of sustainable development for the City of Fort Lauderdale from 2014 to 2016. She led a 185-person team with a total budget of $30 million and was responsible for city planning, economic development, housing programs, code compliance and building permits. At the start of her tenure as Deputy Director in 2012 and then Director in 2014, Jenni managed the consolidation of five separate operating departments into one as part of a citywide reorganization. During this time, her Department processed a record number of site plan applications and building permits (26,000 permits in 2015 with a total job value of $1.7 Billion) while adopting major updates to the Florida Building Code and City Zoning Code. Jenni serves on the National Public-Private Partnerships Product Council for the Urban Land Institute (ULI), was chair of the Women’s Leadership Initiative committee for the ULI’s Southeast Florida/Caribbean District Council from 2017-2019 and sits on the ULI’s Management Committee. She’s served a member of the Board of Directors of the Greater Fort Lauderdale Chamber of Commerce since 2015 and is currently the Chair of the Chamber’s Downtown Council. Jenni is a proud graduate of the Chamber’s Leadership Fort Lauderdale program in 2014 and Leadership Broward’s Women Leading Broward class three in 2016. Jenni grew up in South Florida before moving with her family to western Colorado as a teenager. She graduated from the University of Colorado with a degree in Environmental Design and moved back to South Florida in 1999, starting her professional career with the City of Fort Lauderdale as an entry-level urban planner. She and her husband, Jose, live in Pompano Beach with their two sons, and spend most weekends on the ball fields, in their backyard with friends and neighbors, or cheering on their beloved and beleaguered local sports teams.

John Osborne is responsible for asset management activities in South Florida and Texas, currently supporting two million sf across the portfolio. He joined the Crocker organization in 2007. Prior to his current role, Mr. Osborne was responsible for sourcing development and acquisition opportunities while overseeing asset management functions in Texas. He obtained his Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from the University of Florida.

Doug McCraw is the founder and developer of FATVillage, an arts district located in a city designated four block area in the Ft Lauderdale city center. The area was developed out of a warehouse district in 1999, and has some of the oldest buildings in the city. It has developed into a community of artists, galleries, theaters, studios (photography, film, graphics design, media management, arts technology incubation), and other arts centric businesses. Prior to FATVillage, Doug was the founder of DAS Records and Data Storage, a South Florida company acquired by Iron Mountain Group in 1996. He is active in the venture capital community in Alabama and has founded a new company, Art + Light + Space Studios with partners Peter Symons, Leah Brown, and Lutz Hofbauer. Doug is a graduate in Marketing (1972) from the University of Alabama, Tuscaloosa, and remains active with board work on the campus.

Ben Porritt recently joined Brightline as the senior vice president of Corporate Affairs. In this role Porritt oversees government relations, communications and culture. Prior to joining Brightline, Porritt served as a partner of Outside Eyes a communications strategy agency that worked with major brands and projects that made a transformative impact. Porritt served on three presidential campaigns including 2012, 2008 and 2004. Porritt was a senior advisor to Ambassador Jon Huntsman in 2012 and a public face of the McCain- Palin campaign, serving as a national spokesman and senior advisor to the candidates during the 2008 presidential election. Porritt worked for President George W. Bush as a campaign spokesman and as the Press Secretary to the United States House Majority Leader. Porritt also worked in the West Wing of the White House in 2002-03. Porritt earned a Masters in Business Administration from the University of Southern California and a Bachelors of Science in Political Science and History from Bradley University. Porritt is originally from Danville, IL and currently resides in South Florida.
