Mr. Berson joined Parkway Corporation in 2018 and serves as President of Parkway Commercial

Properties, a role in which he oversees Parkway’s growing real estate portfolio as well as development

across a national and expanding land bank. Parkway recently delivered a 360,000 SF trophy office

building leased by global law firm Morgan Lewis, a multifamily project in Philadelphia’s “old city” which

achieved 95% leasing in just three months, and is under construction on another 550,000 SF trophy office

building leased entirely by global insurance provider Chubb. Parkway is also in predevelopment for

several additional multi-family residential projects in multiple US markets. Prior to Parkway, Brian worked

at Brandywine Realty Trust and served as Vice President of Development overseeing development work

in New Jersey and Washington DC before which he was Vice President of Leasing and Development at

Liberty Property Trust, where he held responsibility for the firm’s leasing, development, and asset

management at the Philadelphia Navy Yard. He has 25 years of experience in the industry and has

developed over two billion dollars’ worth of real estate.

His previous experience also includes development positions in Washington, D.C. at LCOR where he

served as Development Manager for the 2.4 million square foot United States Patent and Trademark

Office and at Hines where he served as Construction Manager for the 800,000 SF Gannet/USA TODAY

Headquarters. Mr. Berson received his Master of Architecture from Columbia University’s Graduate

School of Architecture, Planning, and Preservation and his Bachelor of Arts from the Washington

University in St. Louis School of Architecture.

He holds a Pennsylvania architecture license and National Council for Architectural Registration Board

certificate. Mr. Berson sits on the Board of Trustees at NAIOP Philadelphia, at the American Heart

Association’s Hard Hats with Heart, and is a Board member at the Central Philadelphia Development

Corporation. He has been featured prominently as a guest lecturer, panelist, and instructor at many of

the region’s universities.

Ernie is a Senior Principal with GZA GeoEnvironmental, Inc. (GZA) and is President of its New York State Affiliate. Ernie started his career with GZA in its Buffalo, New York office in 1986, starting as a Project Engineer, then relocated to GZA’s Metro Philadelphia Office in 2009 after managing the Buffalo Office for over 10-years. He initially managed GZA’s Metro Philadelphia operations (offices in Fort Washington, PA and Hammonton, NJ) and worked to expand its geotechnical practice in the Mid- Atlantic Region. Ernie sat on GZA’s Board of Directors from 2013 – 2016 and served as the Mid-Atlantic Region’s Operational Officer from 2012 through 2016. In February 2016, he relocated the GZA Fort Washington, PA office to its current location in Center City Philadelphia (1515 Market Street, Suite 945) and transitioned the office management. Ernie lives in Center City, Philadelphia overlooking the City’s Art Museum. His professional contributions have covered a range of environmental and geotechnical projects from multi-site due diligence to remedial action, and building foundations, to bridges, dams, and tunnel infrastructure. He is a licensed / registered professional engineer in New York, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Delaware, Maryland, Michigan and Wisconsin.

Joy A. Barrist offers a full range of commercial real estate law services involving the finance, acquisition, sale, lease and development of complex multimillion-dollar real estate projects throughout Delaware, Pennsylvania, around the country and internationally. She regularly represents banks and lending institutions, private equity firms, non-profit organizations, investors, developers, owners, landlords, and tenants.

Joy consistently represents both lenders and borrowers in various types of commercial real estate financing transactions, including acquisition, development and construction lending. Her experience also includes CMBS and mezzanine debt transactions, as well as municipal bond transactions. She handles finance and other real estate matters for all asset classes including multifamily, hospitality, office, retail, industrial, mixed-use, medical and education.

Joy represents financial institutions as lead lenders and participants in syndicated loan transactions. Her practice also includes the representation of lenders in workouts, financial restructuring, loan sales and the purchase of loan pool portfolios.

Joy’s practice also includes representations with respect to other real estate and general business matters such as easements, lot purchase agreements, sale and purchase of business assets and ownership interests in business entities, the formation of Delaware entities and the rendering of legal opinions in finance and other commercial transactions.

In addition to real estate finance, her experience extends to asset-based finance (including equipment, inventory and receivables financing), working capital lines of credit and various other complex commercial loan facilities.

She is a frequent speaker on topics of commercial real estate and in particular, real estate finance and construction lending.

Michael (Mick) Flanigan is Executive Vice President for

development of Michaels’ student and market-rate area of

expertise. In this role, Mick is an integral part of the Senior

Leadership Team, overseeing all development activities for on- and

off-campus student living and market-rate development as well as

new business development.

Before being promoted to Executive Vice President, Mick was Vice President of Capital

Markets where he was responsible for supervising an acquisition platform for the overall

operating company as well as procuring equity that supports the acquisition and

development of multifamily housing projects.

Mick comes to The Michaels Organization with more than twenty years of experience in

finance. Prior to joining Michaels, Mick held the position of Executive General Manager of

Finance at Lendlease Corporation where he acquired more than $80 million dollars in

assets, developed Telecom Infrastructure in the United States with initial equity of $400

million, and oversaw a renewable energy portfolio across 16 states. Before his work at

Lendlease, Mick worked as a Portfolio Manager at AMP Capital Investors, where he led

and executed more than $9 billion in funding for new facilities. Before that, he was

Managing Director Assetbacked Finance, a boutique finance and securitization company.

Mick holds a Masters of Business Studies in Finance and Organizational Behavior from

the University of Dublin. He received his Bachelors of Commerce in Corporate Finance

and Accounting from the University of Queensland.

Ashish R. Parikh has been the Chief Financial Officer of Hersha Hospitality Trust since 1999. Prior to joining Hersha, Mr. Parikh was in the Mergers and Acquisition Group for Fleet Financial Group where he developed valuable expertise in numerous forms of capital raising activities including leveraged buyouts, bank syndications and venture financing. Mr. Parikh was previously with Tyco International, Ltd. and practiced as a Certified Public Accountant with Ernst & Young LLP. Mr. Parikh received his master’s in business administration from The Stern School of Business at New York University (NYU) and a bachelor’s in business administration from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst. A corporate finance specialist with 17 years of experience, Bennett Lomax is the President and CEO of The Lomax Companies LP, a private investment firm focused on venture capital and private equity. Bennett is the Chairman and CEO of Prime Image, an enterprise technology company that specializes in AI, e-commerce, and automation. Bennett is also a Partner in Lomax Real Estate Partners, a real estate development firm where he leads all corporate finance activities. Bennett serves as the Chairman of the Board of WURD Radio, Pennsylvania’s only Black owned talk radio station. Lastly, Bennett serves as lead director on the board of Beltraith Capital, LLC an institutional asset management firm with $2 billion under management.

Jake is the product of a fourth-generation real estate development family founded in NYC in 1900. Jake has several decades of experience developing capital solutions for real estate operators including developers, funds and REITs on a national basis. Jake brings a pragmatic approach to providing equity and structuring debt for development projects, acquisitions and recapitalizations in all asset classes. With a unique and broad-based background in corporate and leveraged finance, public/private sector transactions, capital markets and strategic tax planning, Jake is able to facilitate maximum asset values and returns for operators and investors.

Mr. Korman is Co-CEO of Korman Communities, Inc. The Company is one of the

largest owners and managers of multi-family properties in the region with a portfolio of

24 properties, and total market capitalization in excess of $2 Billion. The Company

operates throughout major markets in the United States, and is based outside of

Philadelphia, PA. The Company was the innovator of short-term furnished apartments in

the United States over 50 years ago, and Mr. Korman is a member of the fourth

generation to lead this company. The Company operates three brands, including its ARK

and AVE properties which feature full service multifamily operations at prime, infill

locations. The Company introduced its AKA brand in 2004, an upscale, urban high-rise

concept with properties located in New York City, Philadelphia, PA, Washington, D.C.,

Beverly Hills, CA, and London.

Mr. Korman has lead the acquisition, development and financing program of all new

properties by the Company, including the entrance into new markets such as New York

City, Beverly Hills and London. This growth has allowed Korman Communities to

establish relationships with some of the largest and most respected financial and lending

institutions in the country. Mr. Korman oversees all new business development,

including debt and equity relationships, throughout the Company.

Mr. Korman serves on the Board of Trustees of The Philadelphia Police Foundation,

Germantown Academy and the Duke University Library Advisory Board. He is also a

member of the JFRE Executive Committee, President’s Leadership Council at Jefferson,

Leslie led the development of a $50 million, 342,000 square foot shopping center, the largest single development in West Philadelphia and the largest development in a Federal Empowerment zone located in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. In 2008, Leslie and her partner Gregory Reaves, established Mosaic Development Partners. Since its founding, Mosaic has developed over $54 million in real estate projects and has created over 200 construction jobs and 100 full-time jobs. Ms. Doelger is responsible for acquisitions, dispositions and asset management. Previously, Ms. Doelger was an Associate Director of Redevelopment at Pennsylvania Real Estate Investment Trust, where she was responsible for project management and financial analysis of redevelopment projects within the company’s portfolio of enclosed shopping malls. Prior to joining PREIT, Ms. Doelger was a Senior Development Manager for Buckingham Companies, where she secured entitlements and directed building design for a variety of product types including market-rate apartments, student housing, senior housing, townhomes, and mixed-use properties. Ms. Doelger is also experienced in the development and leasing of retail properties, having directed real estate and development for Taco Bell in the Philadelphia area. She started her career with Kravco Company as an Urban Retail Specialist.

Ms. Doelger holds an MBA with a concentration in Real Estate from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, where she was a Palmer Scholar and Co-President of the Wharton Real Estate Club. She also holds a Masters of City Design and Social Science from the London School of Economics and Political Science, where she received a Thouron Scholarship. Ms. Doelger graduated summa cum laude from the University of Pennsylvania with a B.A. in Urban Studies and Classical Studies.

Ms. Doelger is a member of the Commercial & Retail Development Council of the Urban Land Institute, and was a co-founder of the Indiana District Council of ULI in 2007. Ms. Doelger has served on a variety of nonprofit boards in the Philadelphia area, and currently is a Director of the Passyunk Avenue Revitalization Corporation.

Lauren Gilchrist is the Executive Vice President and Market Leader of the Greater Philadelphia Region. Gilchrist oversees Newmark Real Estate’s (Newmark’s) full suite of service offerings, managing strategic planning, revenue growth and profitability, recruitment and business development in the company’s Philadelphia, Wayne, Southern New Jersey and Delaware offices.

He has over twenty years of combined entrepreneurial and professional experience as the Founder and CEO of THE BADGER GROUP, LLC, and while working with industry leading Fortune 500 companies. Through his various roles, Mr. Badger has developed expertise in real estate development, investment, management and sales, consumer marketing and project management, and professional sales. He has a well established track record of success managing businesses, products and individuals while increasing market share and profitability.

In 1996, Mr. Badger founded THE BADGER GROUP. Since then, his accomplishments as a real estate developer include the successful acquisition and development of properties throughout Philadelphia and its surrounding counties while maintaining consistent, controlled, growth. He has established an expertise in both single family and multifamily development, as well as new construction, adaptive re-use of existing structures, and land development. Brian is one of two Managing Directors responsible for Ensemble’s East Coast development and investments (in partnership with Mark Seltzer), and he is a member of the Leadership Team. Brian is passionate about creating sustainable projects that enhance lives and currently guides the planning and development at the Navy Yard in Philadelphia and other properties in the region. Prior to Ensemble, he spent 19 years in several key roles for Liberty Property Trust, most recently as Vice President and Market Officer of Liberty Property Trust’s Philadelphia office where he had P&L responsibility for a 4.5 million square foot portfolio of urban office, industrial and flex space, including the Navy Yard. Brian obtained a Bachelor of Science in Real Estate from the University of Pennsylvania and holds a Pennsylvania Real Estate Broker’s License.

Dan, a Philadelphia native hailing from the Frankford section of the city, brings a wealth of experience and a rich background in multi-family real estate. Dan’s foundation began at Penn State, where his focus on business administration was complemented by his role as a Lion Ambassador, proudly embodying the university’s ethos of leadership and community. With a robust career spanning over 18 years, Dan has made significant strides in the multi-family real estate sector. His tenure with industry leaders such as Greystar, Bozzuto, and Scully Company underscores his expertise in new development and the management of high-rise, mid-rise, and garden style operations. In his personal life, Dan’s passion extends beyond the realm of real estate. As a volunteer football coach with Pop Warner National, he dedicates his time and energy to nurturing young athletes, instilling values of teamwork, discipline, and perseverance in the next generation. This role not only highlights his love for the sport but also his commitment to community engagement and youth development.

Christopher Tantillo has been practicing architecture for over thirty years. Growing up on the beach at the Jersey shore, he developed a profound appreciation for how nature shapes the landscape through the wind and the tides. The patterns and textures found in the dunes and shoreline shaped by the sunlight as it changed throughout the day impart a rhythm that inspires his understanding of architecture and design. Using materials and shapes that build upon textural rhythms that catch the light and animate the built environment are themes that he has been exploring throughout his career. Recognized as a dynamic and knowledgeable leader in architecture, Christopher has overseen the design of signature projects throughout the United States. Prior to starting his own firm, Christopher worked for prestigious firms including Hillier Architecture in Philadelphia PA, Ford Farewell Milles & Gatsch Architects in Princeton NJ, Humphries Poli Architects in Denver Colorado, and the Lawrence Group Architects in St Louis Missouri. Christopher founded Tantillo Architecture in 2006 and has since received numerous design awards.
