Canvas Credit Union has broken ground on its first branch location in Castle Rock.

Designed and built by Level 5 Design Group, the 3,716 SF building at the northeast corner of Founders Parkway and Colorado Highway 86 is part of a larger transformation for the credit union, which is reinventing each of its 26 branches to enhance the member experience.

“The feel of our new branches and how we interact with our members will be like walking into a home and having a conversation with a friend, albeit a friend who knows a lot about financial services and deeply cares for your well-being,” Canvas Chief Operating Officer Chris Chippendale said.

Because of the way the space is designed, members will easily be able to see what is on Canvas employees’ screens, Canvas Chief People and Strategy Officer Tansley Stearns said.

“We remove the mystery and bring our members along with us,” Stearns said.

Canvas already has brought its new vision to its Arvada branch during a grand reopening of the renovated location in December. The Castle Rock location is the first of its kind to be built from the ground up.

The 80-year-old Canvas Credit Union, formerly Public Service Credit Union, has more than $2.4B in assets and 240,000 members.
