Main Street Crossing, a 24K SF neighborhood retail center, recently broke ground in Frisco. The spec development is to service 90,000 people living within three miles of its location at Main Street and FM 423.

“Because of the vibrant Frisco market and small vacancies in this submarket, this is the right time to develop the site. We anticipate the shell will be completed by June or July of this year and tenants will then be able to start their finish out,” HSM Equity Partners Senior Vice President, Commercial Development, Mark Smith said in a statement.

The project has two leftover acres that are for sale or could become a Phase 2 depending on the success of lease-up in Phase 1. According to the release, once Phase 1 is 80% to 85% leased, developer Henry S. Miller Projects will consider initiating Phase 2. Linda Zimmerman, senior vice president of Henry S. Miller’s retail division, will be spearheading the leasing efforts.
