Historic District Coming Soon To Fort Worth

Placeholder

Redevelopment in Dallas-Fort Worth has taken a few forms, but mainly moving from commercial use to another. A new project by the Fort Worth Heritage Development will redevelop horse and mule barns into a historic area in Fort Worth’s Stockyards.

The 185k SF redevelopment, which will be called Fort Worth Heritage Development, encompasses two barns between Mule Alley at 122 and 124 East Exchange Ave in Fort Worth. At build-out, the $175M Fort Worth Heritage Development will have 70 acres around the Stockyards, $45M of which is allotted for the barn redevelopment.

Majestic Realty and the Hickman Cos formed FWHD, partnering with the city on the project. JQ is providing structural preservation and facilities assessment. Majestic Realty’s Commerce Construction Co is the general contractor. Bennett Benner Partners is the architect. Kimley-Horn is civil engineer. Susan Klein is historic consultant.

Construction will start in March 2017 and complete in 2018.
