New Luxury High-Rise Starts At Katy Trail

Those who jog along the Katy Trail will soon notice a new high-rise apartment community called The McKenzie, developed by StreetLights Residential and Tricon, popping up. Located at the corner of Harvard Avenue and Tracy Street, The McKenzie is a luxurious 22-floor building with 183 units and amenities that include a resident bar, a garden room, an elevated pool deck, a supper club area, a valet and a 24-hour doorman. Inside, the units contain chef’s kitchens, walk-in showers and customizable closets. The units are expected to be available early 2018.
If you can’t wait till then, StreetLights also built The Jordan, a 23-story, 212-unit high-rise a block from Kyle Warren Park. It welcomed its first residents earlier this month.
