DCT Industrial purchased 13 acres just east of Enchanted Way and Bass Pro Drive in Grapevine and plans to develop a two-building, 194K SF industrial park. The tract, which is adjacent to two Amazon distribution hubs, will grow DCT’s Freeport West vision, the Dallas Business Journal reports

Dallas-based Pross Design Group designed both buildings, one 110K SF and one 84K SF. The buildings, called DCT Freeport West buildings 2 and 3, are speculative, but E Smith Realty Partners’ Brad Struck and Jim Hazard have been brought on to lease the project.

DCT senior vice president Art Barkley credits the site’s attractiveness to accessibility to Interstate 635 and Highway 121. DCT was self-represented in the sale. E Smith Realty Partners’ Damian Rivera repped the seller, Fellowship Church.

This is the second site in the area DCT worked with Fellowship Church to acquire. The two worked together with the city to approve zoning to develop the next phase of Freeport West.

Other DCT projects include DCT Waters Ridge, a 347K SF project that is just over half leased in Lewisville. DCT’s 112K SF DCT DFW Trade Center in Coppell will be completed in July. DCT also has projects in Northlake, Dallas, Carrollton and Irving
