Harrison Street Real Estate Buys Oregon Medical Campus for Record $61.4M

Placeholder

Harrison Street Real Estate Capital paid $61.4M for a 122k SF medical facility in Oregon. Harrison Street bought PeaceHealth Sacred Heart Medical Center in Springfield, OR, in a deal that breaks down to $500/SF. The Register-Guard reports medical facilities are attractive investments for REITs these days as Baby Boomers age and the healthcare industry moves toward cheaper and more convenient outpatient services. The age of the facility was also a determining factor; it was built in 2009. [R-G]
