New 317k SF Data Center Opens In Pilsen
QTS Realty Trust delivered its data center in Pilsen and is celebrating with an open house of the 317k SF facility today. The building used to be home to the Chicago Sun-Times' printing operations. QTS bought the property at 2800 South Ashland Ave for $18M in 2014 and spent nearly $200M adapting the space.
The new center will serve as QTS' Midwest hub. It has 133k SF of raised floor capable of providing 24 MW of critical power for a variety of needs, including customizable data center solutions, co-location hosting, managed hosting, hybrid cloud and disaster recovery services for the enterprise and government organizations.
