A popular shared-use conference center company will continue its national expansion when it opens its first Boston venue next month.

Convene, which bills itself as the first “workplace-as-a-service” platform, will make Boston its fourth market once its facility at One Boston Place opens on June 1. The 17K SF venue can host up to 200 people and will feature six meeting rooms and a private outdoor terrace. One Boston Place tenants as well as companies and organizations from outside the building are able to use the Convene space. Its venues typically include an on-site executive chef, an AV/IT support team and dedicated meeting and planning staff.

“The most progressive companies today are looking for next-generation workplaces — ones that not only provide improved lease flexibility but also seamlessly integrate physical space, hospitality services and on-demand technology into the overall experience for their employees,” Convene CEO Ryan Simonetti said.

The company already has locations in New York City, Philadelphia and Washington, DC, and has been on an expansion kick recently. It raised $68M in Series C funding in its mission to help landlords in the “Starwood-ification” of real estate, Simonetti said earlier in May to Fortune. Convene will partner with One Boston Place owner TH Real Estate to develop and operate the meeting and event venue, which will include a lounge accessible only by the building’s tenants.
